Hello {{ first name | friends}},
It's time for my annual roundup of the best of SARN. While I usually publish this at the end of the year in question, the fates intervened, which is why you're getting this now.
Before I get to the list, I had some interesting stats from beehiiv. According to them, I wrote 98.6k words in 115 posts and got 395.6k impressions. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thinking that's enough for a book, so I'd love to do the second collection of essays from SARN in the near future.
That's for another time, though, so let's get to the roundup:

These are the articles you opened most in the last year.
Top 5 Supporter Exclusives
SARN is a reader-supported publication, and there’s at least one supporter-only article each month. Here are the top 5 in 2024:
Top 5 Podcasts
Supporters also get access to a private podcast, and these were the most popular episodes last year:

Most Popular via Google Analytics
I love data, so I also turned to Google Analytics to find more popular content:
Black Women, Stereotypes and Fetishes (I published this a while ago but people keep reading it).
There Is Only Us by Naomi Raquel Enright (which was also the most popular essay in June)
Racism Stories: Corporate Racism 101 by Mark T. Batiste
Other Popular Articles
Beehiiv usually flags the most popular article each month. Some of those have already been mentioned here, but here are a few more:
September - Building Our Own Table - LaTonya Davis
November - What Now?
Did you miss any of these? Which articles made most impression on YOU last year? I'd love to know!
You can catch up on previous annual roundups in last year's edition.
Thanks for being here,
Sharon
