In the last year or so, I've been rewatching A Different World with my daughter. Her comment: It's nice to have a show that shows Black joy too
A Different World is a Cosby Show spinoff that started when the oldest daughter Denise went off to Hillman College, an HBCU. While I can no longer watch the Cosby Show with equanimity for reasons that are well known, I was surprised by how well this show from the late 80s and early 90s held up.
