"I knew the depth and breadth of DEI would not be sustainable, if we were not able to work at the core of the issue and that is at the level of human behaviour. Our behaviours are the greatest indicators of our being human and it is our behaviours that often lead to our demise."
It's sad, but true. Nothing else explains the irrational state of being in this world today. Systemic oppression has the same effect as compound interest: it grows and grows until it becomes unstoppable. Ever since the first evil, twisted mind conceived the Doctrine of Discovery, the slope of oppression, exclusion and inequality has resembled a hockey stick chart.

That's a powerful analogy, Mitch. I have to believe it isn't unstoppable, but sometimes it's hard to do so.

So infuriating, you really feel for her. She is a humanitarian who simply wants to fix things. My current pet peeve is with the media. By not providing the original DEI rationale adequately and often presenting the racist side of the coin as if it were a rational counter-argument, they are exacerbating the issue.

Indeed, Evan - there's a false equivalency that doesn't hold up to any sensible scrutiny.
