Hello {{ first name | friends}},
Well, there were a few things I didn't have on my dance card for January, including World War 3 looking like it was going to start in my back yard. I'm being kinda facetious, because there are colonialism based conflicts exacting terrible tolls around the world, not least in Palestine. But also not, because shots were fired, people were killed, a leader was extracted and 47 isn't done.
And that's just one thing. With an increasingly unhinged White House incumbent, ICE in the streets of Minneapolis and elsewhere, Reform continuing to make inroads in the UK, and, and, and (insert your local example of idiocy here), activism seems ever harder and ever more necessary. I had so many conversations about this during the month, with folx ranging from despair to renewed purpose, sometimes within the space of five minutes.
And yet, there were moments of hope, because so many of us are here, doing what we can and not giving up. I mean, what alternative is there?
