Well, July was a month of peopling, which was a lot for a confirmed introvert like me. That said, it was good to reconnect with old friends, make new acquaintances and see a few people I've known for ages outside the confines of a Zoom room. I often felt tired but I felt happy too. Here's how the month played out.
Quiet Queens
This actually happened in late June, but hadn't yet taken place when I posted my last update. It was fabulous. The conversations were rich and the food was delicious plus we provided some great additional perks for guests. No surprise that we didn't need the noise and the masking. We flourished in a room that met us where we were and allowed connections to happen naturally. And they did - people left that room with new clients and nourished in all the ways that mattered. Founders Dinner
This is another event created by an introvert making the kind of room she wanted to be in. Daniella Genas hosts these dinners several times a year across the UK. I attended the London dinner in July. Delicious and different Indian food, great conversation, wonderful connections, and superb follow-up. I know for sure I'll be attending more of those in the future.
