Hello {{ first name | friends}},

"So, I launched a new thing."

That was what I said to at a meeting of one of the communities I'm in. And in fact, I created three new things during early part of March.

What I Launched

The first thing was a new newsletter called The Recharge: Notes from the Desk of an Introverted Black Woman. I've collected all the introversion content I've been posting since 2025, and released a new piece towards the end of the month. The intention is to support the introverted women leaders and changemakers I'm working with by posting new notes twice a month or so.

The second thing was a new class called The Game is Rigged: Publishing While Black, which I'll be running on May 1st with my sister Lisa Hurley. In it we're sharing the strategies we've learned in our experiences of publishing, me as a self-publisher and Lisa as a traditionally published author. There are a couple of sponsored spaces available for minoritised folx who don't have the means to buy a ticket - reply to this email if you'd like to sponsor a space or know someone who would benefit.

And the third thing was a class on Marketing Strategies for Freelancers, based on my own experience as a query-free freelancer for more than 15 years. Though you can grab it as a standalone product, it's also part of the Academy for Changemakers and was included free for members.
